Presentation of Slovenia in Vienna at the beginning of Slovenia’s presidency of the European Union.
The Zaloščan wine cellar, marketing its wines under the brand name of De Adami, has been in the Slejko family for four generations. Members of the family have been carrying over their love for soil and vine as well as their respect for wine from generation to generation.
The cellar got its name from the village of Zalošče, situated at the very heart of the green wine-growing Vipava valley. The wines in the cellar are the product of five winegrowers that provide the cellar with the surplus of their integrated harvest. They make fifteen varietal still wines and wine types. Their white wines are soft, fruity, fresh and easy-drinking, while their red wines, especially the vintage ones, rank among the top wines in the world. Outstanding reviews given to their wines in Slovenia and abroad are a result of unique winegrowing sites and minimum interference in the process of winegrowing, climatic conditions and the wine-growing soil. Most importantly, it is the attentive care of the Slejko family that gives their wines the soul and thus completes their recognizable character.
